Below is the email from Rocky Patel confirming trip and information:

You are set up for April 18-21, 2010.  Here is some information that might be helpful.

Attached you will find some information about the Honduras Trip.  We ask that a trip consist of at least 10 people, so you are more than welcome to have 9 -10 other people in your group.  However if you are not going to have that many please let us know and we will add a few other people.  I would like to get the names, e-mail and phone numbers of anyone wanting to attend so that I can send them this literature and so I can answer any questions they may have.

-All airline tickets must be purchased with the exact name as it reads on each person’s passport.

- When you arrive at the Airport you will be meeting a man by the name of Oscar.
- Once you arrive you should get your luggage at baggage claim then go to a bar called Casa De Puros located in the airport.  This is where Oscar will meet you if he is not at the baggage claim
- Bring comfortable shoes. When it rains, the fields get muddy, so be prepared to get muddy as well! :-)
- Bring your own towel. Towels are provided, however they are all the same color and hard to keep track   of
- Beer and rum are available at the farm, but if one wishes to drink something else, they can buy it at duty free or at the airport in Honduras
- Bring a sweatshirt or light jacket; the nights might get a little chilly
- Passengers' passports must be valid 6 months from the date they RETURN to the United States
- So far, no one has had a problem bringing lighters as long as they are in their suitcase, checked in (no carry-on's)
- It is dormitory-style sleeping, so earplugs are suggested because people tend to snore :-)
- Bring your own pain reliever in case of aches, pains or headaches
- Contact in Honduras in case of emergency is Eduardo and his # is 01150498586757
- Sprint does not work; all other cell phones do as long as they have international service set up
- $35 to get out of the country; bring at least $100 just to be on the safe side.

As of Feb 2nd, 2010 there are only 3 spaces left, so if you have an interest contact Jim soon.  Once all spaces gone I will start a waiting list.

The 4 Reasons You Need The CigarWedge In Your Bag

  1. 1. It keeps your lit cigar off the wet, dirty, chemical laden grass. The club head, or wedge, is attached to a fiberglass shaft that is driven into the ground.

  2. 2. Save your back from the constant bending to pick up your cigar off the ground or the golf cart.

  3. 3. You can take it everywhere on the course... to the tee, or to the green or to the other side of the fairway... especially on those "Cart Path Only" holes.

  4. 4. It's Very Cool! You will be the talk of your foursome when you pull this fun, unique 'wedge' out of your bag.

We may not be able to rescue your game...
but at least we can help save your cigar!

Leaf and Bean is Voted Best Cigar Bar in Pittsburgh!

From the September 2008 issue of

Pittsburgh Magazine

Readers' Poll: Best Cigar Bar: Milk and cookies, tea and crumpets, coffee and... cigars? OK, so that might not be the most likely combination. But the brains behind Leaf and Bean cigar and coffee shops have seen the potential in the unexpected pairing and have created an attraction that's downright smokin'. With a walk-in humidor featuring scores of cigars, fresh roasted coffee, live music on Saturdays and free WiFi, Leaf and Bean offers something for everyone, even some in Iraq. Curiosity burning? Through its care-package service, you can send cigars, coffee and other novelties to American troops overseas. 2200 Penn Ave, Strip District, 412/434-1480; 3525 Washington Road, Peters Township, 724/942-6670; leafandbeanstrip.com. - B.S.

Jims Note:  Thank-you for making this possible, all I did was provide a place for us to meet, you my friends, customers and guest did the rest, thank-you.  And Thank-you to Greg, Sunny, Neil, Dennis, Jeff, Bill and Tom, and my own special big guy Justin, and many other names the list is to long to mention all, but you know who you are.

Take a walk down the block and enter the Leaf and Bean and you are instantly swept away from Pittsburgh's cracked sidewalks to Key West, Fla.'s sandy beaches and stalwart palm trees. There, former Marriott executive Jim Robinson reins over his loyal base of smokers, luring them with hand-rolled cigars and coffee roasted on the premises.

But, possibly most important, he offers an escape: mosaic-covered tables, beach knickknacks, seashells and fishing nets cover the walls, ceilings and shelves, allowing one to pretend they have left Pittsburgh's typically wet, gray climate for warmer environs.

"I wanted to grow my hair long and stop wearing suits," Robinson said, explaining why he left his cushy job with Marriott to open a shop in the Strip.

Us

We are Neil, Sunny, Justin, Dennis, Ricky, Jim and Merlin and sometimes Laura. Neil is the guy with all the funny t-shirts works and Saturdays and makes the awesome Hot Chocolates and Lattes.  Sunny is the flower child who adds the beauty, be still my heart.  Justin is the big guy who without, the Leaf and Bean would not be here.   Dennis, the picture man, a legend in his own mind, always willing to offer an opinion and always has one,  and a good friend of mine.  Ricky can be found sleeping on the couch pretending to be watching TV.  Jim hangs out, smokes cigars, drinks coffee in the morning, beer in the afternoon, and paints everything in sight.  Merlin is the house dog, lays around and begs food from everyone that walks in the door.  Laura daughter of Jim, helps out when Jim wants to go camping.
